The first reaction most people have when hearing Sabrina sing is disbelief that such an enormous voice is coming out of such a small woman. Her first vocal experience came in the form of musical theater where she won the Gene Kelly award for her role as Timone in the musical Once on this Island. Sabrina joined Salsa band Guaracha as a backing vocalist when she was sixteen. From there she was hired as lead vocalist/ front person for the top rated Latin band Orquesta Tropical, developing a strong following on her own. Mean while, Sabrina earned her bachelors degree in musical theater from Point Park College. Also, in order to stay close to her Latino roots, Sabrina became a certified Zumba Fitness Instructor.
Dividing her time between New York City and Pittsburgh, Sabrina performed several leading roles in musical theater as well as toured the U.S. and Canada with the Broadway production Showboat as the character Julie La Verne. She has worked with several production companies throughout the U.S. including Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Kansas City Starlight, West Virginia Public Theater, and NETworks (NYC) to name a few.
Always eager to expand her musical boundaries, Sabrina has performed with several local and national R&B, Blues, Soul, and Rock bands. She can be seen performing in several of the Nationally televised Roots of Rock & Roll/ Doo Wop shows with such artists as Little Anthony and the Imperials, Percy Sledge, Frankie Ford, Eddie Holman, The Diamonds [with her infamous castanets solo], and others.
Sabrina can also be seen and heard on several national and local television, radio, industrial, and print spots for companies such as: Aquafresh, American Greetings, Medrad, PA Lottery, Shop n' Save, Nauticom, Penn Telecom, Hoss's, Zoom Internet, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Rite Aid, National City, Sherwin-Williams, Nestle Crunch, PNC, SUBWAY, and Home Depot to name a few.
With her dynamic vocals, soulful percussion, and her electrifying stage presence, Sabrina has earned a reputation as one of Pittsburgh’s top singers and performers as well as helping NO BAD JUJU to be recognized as one of the areas finest bands.
Fun Fact? Sabrina voices “Gabby Groundhog“, Gus the-second-most-famous-Groundhog's girlfriend!
